Robert C Brown has over 20 years' experience within the residential sector both for the private and public sector.
Recent times show acceleration in growth within the Housing Association sector with RSLs now responsible for almost 2 million social housing units with continual growth in the UK. Key drivers for public housing include affordable housing volumes, changing roles of Housing Association and Local Authorities, stock transfer, public/private funding, Modern Methods of Construction and increasing land costs.
The private sector has seen steady growth; however developers and housebuilders have increasing pressure to aspire to meet the ‘very good’ or ‘excellent’ Ecostandards which requires investment in low carbon emissions in excess of Building Regulations Part L1A. Other drivers within this sector include the new fire safety requirements related to the amended Building Regulations Part B.
Robert C Brown can advise clients on the financial impacts these and other related issues our clients may have.
